Day 8 and 9, July 2 & 3

July 2

Oh one could get use to this!  Getting up and taking your time reading by the pool even before taking a shower... ah the life!

It rained off and on most of the morning (the off had sun).  We still enjoyed the outside thanks to our veranda.  It was pretty much cleared up by noon and we decided to go for a long walk up the beach and try our best at beach combing for shells.  The sky was bright but not sunny... and there were those clouds, the ones you never know if they are rain clouds or what.  Since we had the camera we figured we had better take a bag to put it into in case the skies opened up.  Well our 2 hour walk was perfect and we only used the bag for the shells.  The beach walks here are not only peaceful but you see tons of fish in the shallows since the water is so clear.  There was a nice strong breeze too, so we didn't get too hot.  After our return we just did some swimming at the pool and reading.

In the evening time we met up with another local couchsurfer, well he is from North Caicos Island.  He had another friend with him from North Caicos and one from here in Provo.  We went out for dinner and then onto a private party which ended up not being far from here.  We got there early but just to help set some things up... but it wasn't that much to do.  We all left there and they went back to the place they were staying to change into their party clothes and we came back here to just relax a bit.  Like most parties now they don't get going until mostly the time we are ready for bed!  :)  Oh well, we are on vacation and what the hell... how many times is one invited to a private Caribbean party?  We arrived back around 11:00 and still it was pretty slow.  We did meet some pretty nice people however and enjoyed the rum.  We had left the car back at the condo and just walked the 10 minutes to the party so we could enjoy the rum.  The party was out by a pool and it was to be one of the owner's clothing designs showcase... however they still didn't do the fashion show and it was after 1:00 when we left.  These Caribbean folk like to stay up late but not these fellas... us :)

July 3

The wind was strong today so if seemed colder and well it was mostly cloudy too.  Since we had a late night last night it was good since we didn't get moving until early afternoon anyway.  After reading for a bit we headed for a nice long walk on the beach.  This time we walked in front of some of the big resorts.  We will miss our walks on the beach when we return to the real world in a few days.
Enjoy the pictures.
