A Day at the Beach

Today was a down day for us. We didn't get up until 7:00 :) and mostly spent the day in the water. We went snorkeling in a little bay called "the fish bowl". Nice spot with lots of fish. If I were to guess the number of different kinds (25 or so).
After that we spent the rest of the day at one of the local beaches. The sun was in and out but mostly out... and we enjoyed the sand and the heat. The waves were pretty big too, so we all got some exercise body surfing.
We talked to some of the locals (or tourist who come here a lot) and found out that sea turtles gather about a 5 minute walk just around a point. We took that walk and managed to see a few of them. I was able to snap one photo, which I have posted here. Also I was able to snap a few photos of some local birds. I have no idea why the Cardinals are so brave here when at home you have to be in the right place at the right time and almost be hidden to even come close to getting a picture like I did.
